Territory
2025 – Digital collage from photographed and digitally manipulated found media

Territory explores the ways in which female identity has been mapped, claimed, and confined. A reclining figure, drawn from vintage imagery, is overlaid with cartographic lines and mechanical motifs, while a fragment of archival text speaks of captivity disguised as love. By photographing and digitally manipulating found media, this work reframes familiar cultural fragments to reveal how narratives of possession and desire have been woven into the image of the feminine. The piece invites viewers to question who defines the boundaries of a body, a role, or a life—and what it might mean to redraw those maps.
